Forum Marketing is one of the best online marketing techniques

There are many great forums online for just about any niche. You should find as many popular ones you can in your niche. This is a vital strategy for your online marketing efforts. Start searching for the most active forums here http://www.big-boards.com

The smaller forums are harder to find but simply searching google for “forum” will help you get started. Get focused and search for your top keyword phrase and just add the word forum at the end.

What all these forums allow you to do is post what is called a signature. Most people will put their name or something about them in their signature. What you want to do is put an ad and a link to your url. Then every time you make a post in that forum your signature file will show up at the bottom of your post. The more free posts you make the more times your url shows up and the more likely someone will click on your link, especially if your posts are positive and helpful. This is also a way to establish yourself as a real person on the internet, which people seem to respond better to than just an ad.This is a great way to learn about marketing online as well as promote your url.

Goal: Make 5 quality posts in at least 1 forum a day.

Submit Your Ad to Craigslist

Craigslist is one of the most popular classified Ads site. It began as a small bulletin board between friends in San Francisco. It has become one of the largest and currently ranked #52 on Alexa. It has accomplished this by providing an easy way to submit a classified ad specific to your area. You can go to Craigslist.org and select the nearest large city.

It works great to place your ad on Craigslist. Select your city then look for “small biz ads” You should place your ad on at least the top 5 largest cities and make sure to change the ad because Craigslist doesn’t like duplicates.

Blog Commenting

You can build many incoming links to your site by commenting on other people’s blogs. You need to start with a blog search by going to http://search.blogger.com or http://www.icerocket.com. After you found the blog in your niche, you should save it in your favorites so you can visit often.

Look around for a question that you will be able to answer. Don’t post a comment that will seem like an advertisement or it might be considered blog spam the blog owner will delete it. The key is to provide good feedback while providing the link back to your site. You should always offer helpful advice.

This method will pay off in the long run. The search engines and people will find your links. Be consistent and make a few comments every day.

Is Article Marketing worth the effort?

A great way to get free advertising is by writing articles about your particular niche or interest then send them out article directories. I highly recommend it as a great link building strategy. It doesn’t take a great deal of time or writing skills.

Anyone can start out writing articles or if you prefer you can pay someone to do it for you. You can submit manually to the major article directories or use one of the popular article submission software such as the free Article Submitter.

After submitting manually it won’t take you long to realize the software can save you a lot of time in your submittal process.

You need to be consistent with your Article Marketing. If you want success with your articles then you need to submit to as many directories as possible every week. It does take some time but it will be a huge payoff for you down the road.
